Gateway 2000
There aren't many news from new owners of Amiga, the only thing they've announced is that the new Amiga International will be present
at the World of Amiga in London, with a speeches made presumibly by Petro Tyshtschenko (president of the new society) about new developments.
Power Amiga
We're still waiting for a new Amiga with Power PC by the new owners of
our beloved machine, but seems that people at Direct Software
(the leading UK Amiga games seller) plan to create a new Amiga based on a
A1200 in a tower case with a Picasso IV gfx board and a Power UP board.
They also claim that they've contacts with third party software developers
for the conversion of PC and Power Mac software on the new Power Amiga!
Islona
This month we have the previews of 3 of their new titles, but they've
also announced a new one Sixth Sense Investigations a new arcade-adventure
game with 256 colour gfx, 8 languages, fully spoken dialog, 32 locations and 3 worlds (normal, cartoon and robot).
The game will be avaible for AGA Amigas only in the CD and floppy formats.
Vulcan MAXI!
Vulcan Software has announced a new series called "The Maxi Series" that will include all the previously announced titles, that
will be released only in the CD-Rom format.
Gundam, the video game
A new software house has announced a game based on the great Gundam. The
game won't be a tie in of the famous series (infact the title will be Mobile Suit VARIDIAM ED-109) but a game based on a japanese
robot similar to Gundam that'll have to fight with the usual aliens. The
game will be a mixture of a laser game stile of action and the usual
shoot'em up. The gfx of the screen shots we've seen seems not so
impressive, let's hope they'll improve this aspect of the game.
Another manga shoot'em up
An italian team of programmers is creating a new shoot'em up based on
an old cartoon series called here in Italy "UFO Robot". The game is
at the moment at an early stage but looks impressive with a good gfx.
Blitz Bombers
Mutation Software
Mutation Software has announced a some new titles for the future, apart Castle Kingdom previewed this month, they plan to release during 1997
also Kartoon Racers a racing game with the usual Mutation's cartoon gfx, Monster Football of wich we haven't more news and Tin Toy 2
the follow-up of Mutation's best game.
In Shadow of Time
Since last year when a demo of this beautiful adventure was released no one heard anymore of Shadow Elks,
now they plan to release the game soon and are going to distribute a new demo this month. The game is very good
with a lot of very interesting features like more than 300 colours on screen, fully-multitasking and OS-friendly
and realtime shadowing.
Speris Legacy 2
Binary Emotions have announced that after Minskies Furballs and Gun Fury they'll start the
development of the follow up of their first game published two years ago by Team 17, Speris Legacy 2.
The new game will be more playable and technically advanced than the old adventure. Expect a preview in our September issue.

Non ci sono giunte novita' dai nuovi proprietari di Amiga, la sola cosa che hanno annunciato e' che la nuova Amiga International sara' presente
al World of Amiga di Londra, con un discorso tenuto presumibilmente da Petro Tyshtschenko (presidente della nuova societa') riguardo a nuovi sviluppi della tecnologia Amiga.
Power Amiga
Stiamo tutti attendendo un nuovo Amiga con Power PC dai nuovi proprietari della
nostra amata macchina, ma sembra che quelli della Direct Software
(uno tra i maggiori rivenditori di software per Amiga in Gran Bretagna) stiano creando un nuovo Amiga basato
su un'A1200 in un tower con una scheda grafica Picasso IV e con una scheda Power UP.
Hanno anche annunciato di aver preso contatti con sviluppatori di software
per la conversione di programmi per PC e Power Mac sul nuovo Power Amiga!

Questo mese abbiamo le anticipazioni di 3 dei loro nuovi titoli, ma nel frattempo
hanno gia' annunciato un'altro titolo Sixth Sense Investigations, un nuovo arcade-adventure

Gundam, the video game
Una nuova software house ha annunciato un nuovo gioco basato sul grande Gundam.
Il gioco non sara' un tie in della famosa serie (infatti il titolo sara' Mobile Suit VARIDIAM ED-109) ma sara' basato su un robottone giapponese
molto simile a Gundam che avra', come al solito, da combattere contro i soliti cattivissimi alieni.
Il tutto sara' un miscuglio di un gioco stile laser game e del solito
shoot'em up. La grafica a giudicare dalle immagini che abbiamo visionato non e'
cosi' impressionante, speriamo che riescano a migliorare questo aspetto fondamentale in tempo per l'uscita del gioco.
Un altro shoot'em up basato su robottoni e compagnia bella...
Un team italiano di programmatori sta creando un nuovo shoot'em up basato
su una vecchia serie di cartoni animati giapponesi, l'indimenticabile "UFO Robot". Il gioco
e' al momento in una fase primitiva di realizzazione ma appare gia' ben fatto con una grafica molto convincente.

Mutation Software
Mutation Software ha annunciato alcuni nuovi titoli per l'imminente futuro, oltre infatti a Castle Kingdom anticipato questo mese, hanno pianificato per il 1997
l'uscita di Kartoon Racers un gioco di corse con la solita impostazione fumettistica tipica della Mutation, Monster Football di cui non sappiamo nulla e Tin Toy 2
il seguito del loro miglior gioco.
In Shadow of Time
E' ormai passato piu' di un anno da quando la prima demo di questa bella avventura grafica e' stata resa disponibile e da allora piu' nessuno aveva saputo nulla del progetto degli Shadow Elks,
tanto che ormai pensavamo che lo sviluppo fosse stato abbandonato. Ora invece sono tornati a farsi vivi e pensano di riuscire a distribuire il gioco a breve, intanto hanno deciso di rilasciare a breve un'altra demo.
Il gioco sembra molto buono con un sacco di caratteristiche interessantissime come piu' di 300 colori su schermo, multitasking e OS-friendly
e ombre calcolate in realtime.
Speris Legacy 2
Binary Emotions ha annunciato che dopo Minskies Furballs e Gun Fury cominceranno a
sviluppare il seguito del loro primo gioco pubblicato due anni fa dai Team 17, Speris Legacy 2.
Il gioco sara' piu' giocabile e tecnicamente avanzato della vecchia avventura. Aspettatevi un'anticipazione nel numero di Settembre.
